My name is Miranda, and I have tubal factor infertility, commonly referred to as tubal issues for those who may not know. Tubal factor infertility affects approximately 25-35% of couples who are experiencing infertility. This includes cases where a women’s Fallopian tubes are completely blocked, or she has either one blocked tube and/or no blockage but some sort of damage or scarring preventing her and her partner from conceiving. My husband and I have tried to conceive for over 4 years now with no success. We have been to so many doctors from OBGYN’s to fertility specialist’s. For the longest I was told I’m young nothing is wrong, but I knew something wasn’t right for us to never conceive not once. Last year I finally had a laparoscopy surgery done after my OBGYN noticed fluid in my tube during a sonogram, however the surgery was incomplete with little to no answers. I was then referred to another fertility specialist. My husband and I both explained to the doctor how bad we wanted a baby, so she suggested IUI. Sadly we done 3 rounds of IUI’s with no success. I had given up and lost so much hope after all 3 rounds failed, so we stoped with fertility treatments for alittle while. We finally decided to give infertility treatments a try again so I set up another appointment with an OBGYN. First appointment I explained to the doctor and showed past medical reports without hesitation he told me what my problem was. The OBGYN stated the only way we would ever conceive would be through IVF. I have survived this debilitating medical condition because I am a fighter, however my fight is not over.
